Guide: How to downgrade from iOS 4.3.2 to iOS 4.3.1 on iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad

As Now Apple has released the new iOS 4.3.2 for iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad. And we have already warned Jailbreak users to stay away from this Update. But if someone has Updated to iOS 4.3.2, and now want to Downgrade to iOS 4.3.1, iOS 4.3, iOS 4.2.1 or any Previous Firmware, They can follow our Guide Below on How to Downgrade it, Just follow the simple steps and you'll get your Previous firmware back.

NOTE: This guide will only work if you have shsh blobs saved for the particular firmware you are downgrading too.

If you don't know about the saved SHSH Blobs that if you have saved it or not[Don't worry], You can see it in Cydia, Launch Cydia and you'll see on the top, your saved SHSH Blobs.


Downgrade from iOS 4.3.2 to iOS 4.3.1, iOS 4.3, iOS 4.2.1 or Older Firmwares:

Step 1: First of all you need to download your respective IPSW File(Firmware) which you want to downgrade. Get them Here.

Step 2: Now, let's start the Downgrade, First put your Device into DFU Mode, here's how to:
  1. Connect your iOS device to your computer.
  2. Turn it off.
  3. Start iTunes.
  4. Hold Power and Home buttons together for 10 seconds or so.
  5. Release Power button but keep holding the Home button until your computer recognizes a new USB device.
  6. iTunes will now recognize your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch.
Note: Your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch screen at this time should be blank (black in color), if not, then you are most likely in Recovery Mode, not DFU mode.

Step 3: Now the Interesting Part, we have to trick iTunes so that it thinks that it is connected to Apple Servers, but in reality we'll connetc it to Saurik server to downgrade, here is how to:
Go to: C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\

And then locate "Hosts" File [For Windows]

[For Mac Users] Mac OS X users can get to “/etc/” directory by going through “Go –> Go to Folder” from Finder. 

Step 4: Now after you've located, just open it with "NotePad" (In Windows) and in MAC OS you can open it with "TextEdit", after opening just add this at the end:
74.208.105.171 gs.apple.com

After Done, save this File.

NOTE: for Windows 7 and Vista: Start “Notepad” with Administrator privileges by right clicking on “Notepad” app, and click on “Run as Administrator“ option.Select the Desired firmware which you want to downgrade and then click "Open".

Step 5: Now Start iTunes, click on your iOS device icon from the sidebar in iTunes. Now press and hold left “alt” (option) button on Mac, or Left “Shift” button if you are on Windows on the keyboard and then click on “Restore” (Not “Update” or “Check for Update”) button in the iTunes and then release this button.

Step 6:  Now you'll be prompted to select your IPSw File(Firmware),

It's Almost done Now, iTunes will automatically install your desired OS, as you'll be able to see the progress bar on your Device screen, After Done it will automatically Reboot.

Error TroubleShooting:

Error: If you get 10XX errors, you don’t have to worry. Your restore might have successfully completed. But you need to get your iPhone out the recovery mode. So, to do that – Just download TinyUmbrella app that will help you enter and exit out of the recovery mode (Windows / Mac).

To kick out your device from recovery mode just hit the “Kick Device Out of Recovery” button on TinyUmbrella right below the Start TSS Server button or you can also use RecBoot. That’s it!

Note: You must now remove 74.208.105.171 gs.apple.com line from the host file and save it. Doing this will let iTunes to prompt you about future updates from Apple.

iOS 4.3.1 Fixed the Battery Life Drainage Problem [Users Reports]

Finally the biggest Bug in iOS 4.3 has been fixed in the new iOS 4.3.1, there were already speculations by users that iOS 4.3.1 will save the Battery Life Drainage problem and after it's is released they've tested and had good results regarding good battery life. Tere are lots of users on twitter who are satisfied with iOS 4.3.1,as they have got significantly improve results with it.


 Here are some iOS 4.3.1 users, who have tweeted on Twitter that:
“iOS 4.3.1 was released today, seems like my battery isn’t dying as fast anymore.”
“4.3.1 update certainly did fix my battery drain issues.”
“Pleased that iOS 4.3.1 appears to have cleared the battery draining issue. Only gone down 15% in the last 6 hours.”
“Anyone else noticing significant battery life improvement on iOS 4.3.1 for iPhone 4?”

Guide: How To Downgrade from iOS 4.3.1 to 4.3, 4.2.1, 4.1 on iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPod Touch, iPad

A few hours ago Apple Released the Latest iOS 4.3.1 for iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad. This new iOS has got some Minor Bugs fixes, but there are users who've updated their devices to iOS 4.3.1 and can't find a way to downgrade. So this Guide Here will be Helpful for you to downgrade your iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPod Touch, iPad 1 and iPad 2 from iOS 4.3.1 to 4.3, 4.2.1, 4.1 to 4.0.x. Just simply follow our steps below:




NOTE: This guide will only work if you have SHSH blobs saved for the respective firmware you downgrading to.
How To Downgrade from iOS 4.3.1 to 4.3, 4.2.1, 4.1 on iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPod Touch, iPad:

iOS 4.3.1 Released, Available to Download for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad [Download Links]

Apple has now Officially released the new iOS 4.3.1 for or iPhone, iPod touch and iPad. As we have told you before there was nothing new found in this new version of iOS except there are numerous Bugs Fixes including the fix for graphic glitches in iPod Touch 4G and also resolves issues when authenticating with enterprise services and it was also expected that iOS 4.3.1 will fix the Battery Drainage Problem. iOS 4.3.1 is available for Public in iTunes. iOS 4.3.1 to Fix Battery Drainage Problem in iOS Devices?

As we have already reported about the Battery Drainage in iOS 4.3. Most of the iOS Device users on iOS 4.3 has reported that their Devices consumes unexpected 15-20% of their Phone Battery without any App Running. And while you're using it, it consumes double the Battery. So this Bug was found ion iOS 4.3. We also know that Apple to release iOS 4.3.1 within 1-2 Weeks.


So BGR has got Hands-On with the new iOS 4.3.1, they found nothiong special about this new OS release, but they felt that the Battery Drainage has decreased a little. But they haven't did any experimental test on iOS 4.3.1 about the Battery Life. So we have to wait a little more to know whether if it's true that iOS 4.3.1 saves Battery Life.

Other than that Battery Life problem, iOS 4.3.1 will have some Minor Bugs Fixes. Apple will release iOS 4.3.1 within 1-2 Weeks.

iOS 4.3.1 to Release within two weeks? [Report]

BGR has just reported that they have got a little info about the new iOS 4.3.1. That it will be released in one or two weeks after now.This new 4.3.1 won't get any major update but there'll be some minor bugs fixes.And there aint any news that this new version of iOS will get Verizon iPhone Compatibility.


Here are some changes that will be made to iOS 4.3.1 as compared to iOS 4.3:
  1. Baseband updates for the 3GS and iPad (original)
  2. Fixed memory hang that results in memory corruption when reading large files from USIM filesystem
  3. Fixed problem with NTLM authentication in apps and on websites
  4. Fixed issue with the Springboard and 3rd party apps not recgonizing the gyroscope on the iPad 2
  5. Fixed iPad 2 jailbreak vulneratbility
