That's a real great quote by Edwin Powell, What would we be without science. It changed our World with it's Miracles, and still Changing it. And here's another Discovery on which scientist are still working, So if this new discovery of Scientists started working then in few years we'll be able to charge our iPods and Mobile Phones with our body Movements or with our Heart Beat. They wont require any Batteries for their Source of Power. Our Body will be only their source of Power and this would be either by Pinching of our Fingers or our Heart Beat.

And According to Scientists they are working on it, and they also have working prototypes,

The team, presenting their findings at the National Meeting & Exposition of the American Chemical Society, have used it to power LCD displays and diodes, as well as to transmit a radio signal once its generated power has been stored.

It's basically the NanoTechnology on which they are working, It uses zinc oxide nanowires to generate electricity when strained and flexed.

According to Dr Zhong Lin Wang from Georgia University of Technology:

This development represents a milestone toward producing portable electronics that can be powered by body movements without the use of batteries or electrical outlets.

Our nanogenerators are poised to change lives in the future. Their potential is only limited by one’s imagination.

So if this happens to come true then it'll be a total change in our Environment, All the Mobile Phones and other Gadgets will be powered with your own Body Movements. 

Those scientist have improved a lot since they started working on this Project, and it's now thousands times more powerful than their previous attempts. The more strong the nanogenerator the more power it will produce and this will power even bigger Appliances.

Right now the Five nanogenaroters can produce a cumulative total of about 1 microampere at 3 volts, which is equivalent to 2 AA batteries, and it's better than their prevoius attempts.

Pwnage Tool 4.2 Released For Untethered Jailbreak of iDevices and Preserving Baseband [Download]

iPhone Dev Team member , Mucsle nerd has just informed us of the upgraded Pwnage tool that has fixed iBooks Crash issue seen yesterday. He tweeted this message via his twitter. The updated Pwnage Tool will support Untethered Jailbreak for iPhone 4, iPod Touch and iPad (and Apple TV).

The jailbreak is now untethered, and fixes the issue with iBooks on Jailbroken iOS devices (ie: it wouldnt work).

Improvments:

The End of Sony Cassette Walkman

After 30 years, Sony has announced that they will stop manufacturing and selling the venerable cassette Walkman. In a poetic twist, the official death of the Walkman lands on the iPod's 9th anniversary.


The Sony Walkman was introduced on July 1, 1979 in Japan and it was a major breakthrough in delivering a low-cost portable stereo. It wasn't an overnight hit though, it was largely panned by the media and only sold 3,000 units by the end of July.

But Sony kept on pushing, targeting the Walkman toward the younger market and advertising it with younger pop stars. By the end of August, sales increased 10-fold and later in the early 80's it became the must-have item for everyone. Over its 30 year history of the Cassette Walkman, Sony sold 200 million units. A portable music player became a part of our lives, largely because of the Walkman.

It's amazing to not think of the Walkman when it comes to portable music players but the introduction of the iPod and iTunes and the iPod's ensuing dominance has pretty much phased that idea out. The iPod was introduced on October 23, 2001 and though also originally ignored, the iPod has grown at a ridiculous rate and seamlessly moved on to various versions, different form factors and more power and capability. A portable music player couldn't just be a music player anymore, largely because of the iPod.

In reality, the cassette Walkman died many years ago because of the CD player (or Discman), not the iPod. But the Walkman's dominance in the portable music player market died because of Sony's mistakes in betting on losing technology and not tying the portable experience with easy to use desktop software. Those missteps gave way for the iPod. So really, having the Walkman's officially die on the anniversary of the iPod's birth couldn't be any more perfect.
