Nokia E7 is priced at Rs. 27990/- in India at present. Is the phone really worth that kind of a price? Nokia E7 offers plenty of goodies like penta-band 3G, ClearBlack AMOLED screen, HDMI port, HD video, the anodized unibody, and sat-nav license for life to woo the customers, but the basic fault line of all recent Symbian^3 smartphones from nokia remains unchanged. Basically all recent smartphones from Nokia are underpowered with insufficient processors and Nokia E7 is not an exception. ARM 11 680 MHz processor is just not enough for a phone like Nokia E7 with lots of applications. Also Symbian^3 is not good enough to give that touch screen experience which iOS and latest Android OS versions give us. Nokia has to improve a lot in this aspect; perhaps the recent tie-up with Microsoft and availability of Windows 7 might provide some hope for Nokia to hold on to. 8 MP camera in Nokia E7 is good, but not fixed focus, 16 GB memory might be sufficient, but no microSD card slot available (which is not good) and battery is not user replaceable.
Nokia E7 comes with Symbian^3 OS, ARM 11 680 MHz processor and 3D Graphics HW accelerator, 4.0 inches ClearBlack AMOLED capacitive touchscreen, full slider QWERTY key board, 8 MP camera with dual-LED flash, talk time Up to 9 hours (2G) / Up to 5 hours (3G), Bluetooth v3.0 with A2DP, USB On-the-go support, microUSB v2.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, 3G data transfer speed of HSDPA, 10.2 Mbps; HSUPA, 2 Mbps, GPS with A-GPS support and Ovi Maps 3.0. Other features include dual-LED flash, Multi Touch Input, Scratch Resistant Surface, Dolby Digital Plus via HDMI, Document viewer and Video and photo editor.
