Olive Telecom has announced an Android 2.3 Gingerbread phone
OliveSmart V-S300, which is a huge advance for Indian Mobile Phone manufacturers. The "ultra-slim" 9.9 mm thick, OliveSmart V-S300 is powered with 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8255 processor and sports 4.1 inches WVGA, TFT Transmissive LCD, Capacitive Touch screen with a 800x480 pixel resolution, Adreno 205 graphics engine, 512MB RAM and 2GB ROM, a 5MP primary back camera with flash and auto-focus and a Wafer Lens 0.3MP(VGA) front camera for video-calling. OliveSmart V-S300 offers 720p HD video recording and playback. It has 1400 mAh battery, which should suffice for talk time of Up to 380 minutes (2G), 300 minutes (3G). Touted as the first HSPA+ smartphone in India, OliveSmart V-S300 boasts of 3G data transfer speed of HSDPA 14.4 Mbps. OliveSmart V-S300 has 2GB internal memory along with microSD slot of up to 32GB.
